The sun has been shining on St. Margaret’s campus this week and spring is just around the corner! As we enter spring break, our winter sports are wrapping up and spring sport sign-ups are upon us.

FY/MY Swimming

A small, but mighty St. Margaret’s swim team plunged into City Championships with abandon on Sunday, February 24th. Seventeen athletes donned SMS caps and swam to city champion status with a 1st place finish in the girls’ category scoring a total of 360 points, more than 70 points ahead of 2nd place. They also placed 10th overall in the combined team category out of 28 Victoria teams. Congratulations to all team members for the dedication to practice and meets. We look forward to seeing you next year!

MY Volleyball

The MY Volleyball teams completed their season this week! Highlights of the season include recording match wins against, Lansdowne and North Saanich teams, and an exciting SMS v. SMS match at home on February 27th. All players improved their skills immensely from the start of the season with many players new to the sport of volleyball. The teams bonded together fighting for each point. The squad will celebrate their season with a pizza party before spring break. Congratulations on a fun season and we hope to see you back on the court next year!
