Jackie Howey

Weekend Relief Parent, French House

Jackie Howey is our Residence Relief Parent, working with the Residence team to ensure our girls are provided with a safe, comfortable, and diverse environment which allows them to flourish. Miss Howey comes to us with a diverse skill set, including a B.Ed. in Secondary Social Studies, a BA in History, and training in ESL and Special Education, all of which helps her to best meet the needs of our girls. Miss Howey was lucky enough to find her passion early in life and feels fortunate to have the opportunity to pursue that passion at St. Margaret’s. Spending time with young women and helping them navigate the waters as they find their place as thoughtful and active citizens is one of the many things that gets Miss Howey excited about coming to work everyday. Outside of work Jackie can be found exploring Victoria, as she is a recent transplant from Calgary, catching up on her favorite TV shows, or enjoying a cup of tea and a book.

Why SMS? “When thinking about this question one of my favourite quotes from Margaret Mead comes to mind. ‘Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.’ I believe that the St. Margaret’s community embodies this ideal and am thrilled to be a part of it.”
