Financial Assistance

St. Margaret's School believes that your daughter's education is important. In order to assist families who cannot afford the full financial cost of an education at St. Margaret's School we offer financial assistance. Financial Assistance is available up to 50% of the tuition fee being applied for.

How to Apply for Financial Assistance at St. Margaret's School

Financial assistance is directly tied to the financial need of individual families. As a member of Financial Aid for Canadian Students (FACS) operated by Apple Financial Services, our school is able to have an external organization evaluate the financial need of individual families so that the information provided will be held in complete confidence. FACS will provide us with a recommendation, which the SMS Financial Assistance Committee uses to decide on the level of financial assistance to award to a particular student.

Application Process

Step 1

Complete the St. Margaret’s School admissions application form found in the admissions section of our website.

Step 2

• Read the FAQ’s about FACS
• Complete the confidential Apple Financial online application

Step 3

• St. Margaret's School (not Apple Financial Services) will notify you of the award decision by mail when all applications have been processed.
• Apple Financial Services only recommends the amount of the tuition adjustment. The St. Margaret’s School Financial Aid Committee makes the final decision.

Deadlines for FACS Applications 2012-2013

Once the application has been submitted to Apple it takes a couple of weeks to be reviewed and submitted to St. Margaret's so we suggest that your application be submitted to Apple by mid-March to meet our April 1st deadline.
