Welcome Back to School!
I would also like to officially welcome you to the new Saint Margaret's website. In collaboration with Hothouse Marketing, the Marketing and Communications Office has designed and implemented a new look and layout, complete with new features that will provide a fresh, dynamic, functional and engaging site for both current and future families, staff and alumnae. Please take the time to look around and make yourself comfortable. Besides the brand new look, there are some new features I'd like to bring to your attention.

The first is the series of 4 new video clips that can be found on the buttons that appear on every page. Our students expressed that they were struck by how friendly and inviting Saint Margaret's was when they first came to visit the campus as prospective students. The Shadow Day clip is meant to portray what a day at Saint Margaret's would look like for a prospective student coming to visit the school. The Meet the Teachers, Meet the Alumnae and Meet the Students clips are meant to be an authentic, sincere expression of why SMS is such an outstanding school, and what teachers, students and alumnae have to say about that.

The Promo Video button will take you to the new Saint Margaret's promotional video, beautifully produced by Harding Mediaworks in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Office. I hope you will agree that it captures the essence of Saint Margaret's perfectly. That video is now used at recruitment fairs and is sent as a DVD to agents and prospective students and their families.

The new School Calendar found under the Blog and Calendar heading is an excellent Google-based tool to help you stay up to date on all of the year's school events. Simply click on the event that you want to find out more about, and additional information is provided. You can even add it to your personal Outlook calendar with just one click.

Upcoming on our site is a Saint Margaret's Community Forum, where students, parents, staff and alumnae will have the opportunity to share their success stories and the latest news on all the interesting things they are involved in at Saint Margaret's. This will also give visitors to our site a window into all the phenomenal things that go on at school over the course of the year.

The Photo Gallery is now accessible via a button on every page. We have implemented a "light box" to make photos more accessible.

Please check the SMS School Blog often for information on the latest news, including St. Margaret's November Feast Day Fundraiser as well as the Saint Margaret's 2010 Golf Classic in May.
