Each standing committee follows written terms of reference as approved by the Board of Governors. These are set out in the appropriate sections of the Board's policy manual. Committees provide information and recommendations, and draft policies and strategies for discussion and approval. Members are encouraged to serve on more than one committee.

Committee Requirements:

• Committees and their terms of reference are established during the first Board meeting in January
• These terms of reference are reviewed in February
• Final reports are due in October
• Minutes are filed within two weeks of their approval
