Message from the Chair

After 103 years of educating girls, St. Margaret’s School / for girls continues to flourish! How exciting to be a part of this dynamic community, one that recognizes the potential in each student and offers meaningful support as she acquires the skills, the knowledge and the confidence that she needs to excel.

St. Margaret’s issued its first prospectus in 1909. The School’s stated goal was "to consider the special requirements of individual girls, and to give to each one as much attention and consideration as possible".

This objective remains true today. St. Margaret’s offers an educational environment that is specifically tailored to the learning needs of girls. Through small class sizes, personalized instruction and diversity of opportunity, girls are not only provided with a strong academic foundation, but encouraged to believe in themselves and to know that they have the capacity to lead - whatever their choices might be.

Confident girls, capable women. This is one of the most important benefits of a St. Margaret’s education.

Through the strong leadership of our new Head of School, the collective commitment of faculty, staff, parents and alumnae, and most importantly, through the enthusiasm, the hard work and the perseverance of our girls, St. Margaret’s will always be a place "Where Girls Who Want to Change the World, Become Women Who Do".
