Admissions for International Students
The Admissions Team at Saint Margaret's aims to make the application process a stress-free and positive
experience for international students and their families. Director of Admissions, Kathy Charleson, together
with Public Relations Coordinator, Gail Bateman work closely with agents and families to facilitate the
admissions process and endeavor to ensure that every applicant and her family feels taken care of.
The following is an outline of the requirements for International Students applying to Saint Margaret's:

English Immersion (ESL) Programme
Copies of the student's most recent school report and her final
report from the previous academic year
A Reference Form or a letter of reference, completed by the Principal,
Teacher or Counselor at the applicant's present school; this should be
returned directly to St. Margaret's by the reference person
Students applying to our ESL programme are not required to attend
an interview or write our English or Math placement exams at the time
of admissions. They are required to attend our two week Orientation
Programme where their English and Math competency is evaluated.
The Orientation Programme begins two weeks before our classes in September.
ESL applicants to our school are accepted based upon their academic
achievement, demonstrated effort and participation at their previous
school and community and their reference.
