High School Preparatory Programme
Exclusively for Girls in Grades 7 and 8
The objective of the new Saint Margaret's High School Preparatory Programme is to
develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to achieve success in a
senior high school environment.
Launched in September 2009, this programme is tailored specifically to both
the curricular requirements and the unique needs of young-women in Grades 7 and 8.
As girls progress from Grade 6 into Grades 7 and 8 their needs change as they begin
to develop greater independence, both in their learning environment and in their social
experiences. This is the ideal time to expose students to a wide variety of learning
opportunities so that they can build a solid foundation of skills that will prove invaluable
as they move through high school and into the real world.
The Grade 7 and 8 Programmes at Saint Margaret's have been restructured around
five core pillars of learning, allowing students the opportunity to experience a
breadth of course offerings. These pillars are:
Academics
Fine Arts
Life Skills
Athletics
Leadership

of this challenging and exciting new programme.
